St Albans Cathedral Community Litter Pick

The Eco-Team of St Albans Cathedral are organizing a community litter pick to help make a positive impact on the environment. Whether you’ve participated in litter picks before or this is your first time, we’d love for you to join us in making a difference.

The event is free and we ask that you book your place in advance using the sign-up form below.

The litter pick will coincide with the installation of Watershed: A Rivers Call to Action, which is inspired by the vitality and the vulnerability of our rivers and its purpose is to engage people with the urgent crisis facing these fragile ecosystems. Hosted for a month in the magnificent space of St Albans cathedral, Watershed bears witness to this crisis on a very particular river, the River Ver.

Why Should You Volunteer?

Our local environment plays a huge role in our well-being, and keeping it free from litter is essential for maintaining a healthy, vibrant community. Litter not only harms wildlife and pollutes our natural spaces but also affects our mental and physical health. By volunteering for this litter pick, you’ll be helping to:

  • Protect local wildlife

  • Preserve our natural beauty

  • Inspire others to join the effort

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with neighbours, work together toward a cleaner community, and show that we all have a role in protecting the environment.

Together, we can make a lasting impact. We would love to see you there!
