On Wednesday the 17th of July St Albans Greener Together hosted our first event – a Sustainable Transport Panel with some local experts. We had five panellists who all gave very interesting presentations and participated in a lively discussion / Q and A session.
Our panellists:

- Kate Swindells – Abbeyline Community Rail Partnership Officer who discussed promotion of sustainable transport specifically in reference to the operation of the Abbeyline.
- From Hertfordshire County Council Trevor Mason and Emma Turner presented Trevor works under Transport Policy and Rail and Emma works in Transport Strategy. They discussed the current and future plans for sustainable transport in Herts.
- Adam Simmons the general manager at Highway Cycles presented. Highway cycles is a leading cycling shop in Hertfordshire, with locations in Hertford and an E-Bike experience centre in Bishops Stortford they are leading the way in providing e-bikes across the county. Adam provided more information on e-bikes and how they can be a part of the sustainable transport solution.
